Getting to Giverny

Step 1: Take the SNCF train from Gare Saint Lazare to Vernon. Arrive in quaint, adorable little town.
[Cost: 13euro.]
 Rent bikes!
[Cost: 10euro.]
(it was sprinkling and I had to do a little bit of persuading to get everyone on a bike but in the end, flying on two wheels in the French country side... everyone was happy)
Cross over the river out of Vernon.

Turn right to follow the bike path.
\\\ Zoom, zoom along in the countryside.

((There are plenty of signs to keep you in the right direction.))
The nicely done bike path is speckled with petite wild flowers.
The bike path will eventually merge into a small road as you approach the town.
[[An American flag! I hadn't seen one for such a long time!]]
Arrive in Giverny and bike down Rue Claude Monet until you reach the house and museum.
You can't miss it!
Total biking time: Several kilometers (5 perhaps?), about 35 minutes.
Totally worth it - Rachel, who had visited Giverny before and taken the shuttle bus from the train station, was particularly pleased with the bike experience, much better!
