Aix-en-Provence is a quintessentially beautiful town in the south of France.
There are lots of beautiful little streets radiating out from the central square, some business, many residential.
--Carosuels and wrought-iron--
copious amounts of fountains
Old churches and places
Cezanne Statue
(almost worthy for the man who collapsed three dimensions into two)
so many little streets...
Wandering around (almost) all of them definitely doesn't take you longer than an afternoon. As lovely as it all is, it can begin to be repetitive after several hours. If I were to do it again, I would plan to take the charter bus trip out to Mount Saint Victoire where Cezanne did his famous series of paintings. I guess I will just have to go back!
