Back to Toulouse

A beautiful basilica, built between about 1080 and 1120.
Can you imagine how formidable a building like this was compared to peasant hovels and huts.
The power of the church in that era made erect.
Playing with fire in the Capitolium Square.
[how do people get started with such a hobby?]

The courtyard in the Musee Fondation Bemberg

From my Sunday Evening around Paris

Wandering with Christina and her wonderful mother, Francois, who I was so happy to meet.

A Treasure Trove

Reason #32943 Why I Love My Internship:
As I am sent about this marvelous city, I get to discover more and more about it. Sometimes, even hidden treasure troves. Case in point, this absolutely amazing place completely tucked away in the back streets of the 11th arrondissement. Entry only permitted if you are a professional working in film, theatre or events, it is like the most enormous and best edited puce that has ever existed.
Rooms full of chandeliers, thrones, candelabras, leather trunks, taxidermied animals, china... endless treasures.
plus, plus, plus! ---->

Babar at the Musée des Arts Decoratifs

((a most pleasant surprise))
I remember him, his family and his adventures from my childhood.
Jean de Brunhoff created the cutest illustrations - French colonialism for kids!
Alyssa and I were practically giddy by the level adorable-ness.

Colette Carnival

I can never be bored in Paris.
(This I love)
The other Saturday, Colette, a tré cool shop (basically the dream shop you could win a shopping spree at) had a carnival at the Tuileries. Full of booths, noms, merchandise, some children and a lot of Parisian hipsters.
-----> a pretty enormous (really!) picture post awaits, come see what all them French hipsters be into!

A Typical Parisian Corner

The architecture of the building, the brasserie, the street, the trees.
 ((so Paris))
In the 13th arrondissement, by Place Rungis.

Palm Sunday on the Quai Montebello

Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest.
The American Church in Paris even had little palms.
It was a blue and cold day to stroll down the Quai Montebello after the service to have a think but chilly wind only sharpened my awareness of all the wonderful things I have to be thankful for.
 Homage to Thomas Jefferson.

The Musee d'Orsay through some blossoms.
And across the River Seine, with the Eiffel Tower just peaking out//
